About this spot

A multipurpose dam known as the water reservoir for four Shikoku prefectures, boasting one of the largest scales in Shikoku. Built in a majestic location surrounded by mountains, the dam structure is overwhelming when viewed up close due to its enormous scale. From the observation area, you can see the dam lake and surrounding mountain ranges at a glance, making it a precious spot where you can experience Shikoku's role as a water source. It's a perfect family-friendly sightseeing destination with elements of social studies field trips, ideal for summer vacation research projects.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from central Tosa Town. Admission is basically free. Summer has strong sunlight, so bring a hat and drinks. Travel to Lake Samebura by car next.

Takes about 1.5 hours. On clear afternoons, you can see the surrounding mountains crystal clear
