Ogi has been a town of yokan making since long ago, and many yokan shops line its streets. This museum conveys that history: inside a building that reuses an old sugar warehouse, tools long used in yokan making and materials from those days are on display. The building itself has an atmospheric exterior that speaks of Ogi's modern era, the kind of place you want to photograph. For children it is a chance to learn how the sweets they always eat are made, and for adults it conveys the course of the town's industry. It is within walking distance of Ogi Park, making it just right as a final stop for the morning.

小城公園元気広場じゃぶじゃぶホタル池は、元気広場の中にある無料の水遊び場です。小城市の公式案内には「じゃぶじゃぶホタル池（3月〜11月）」と記されており、春から秋まで長く楽しめるのがこの水辺の魅力です。同じ広場には小城の滝、噴水などで水遊びができるウォーターテラス、足つぼ歩道といった親水施設が並び、水の遊び方をいくつも切り替えられます。水に飽きたら冒険トリデやちびっこゲレンデ、木製遊具に戻れて、体を乾かしながら何度でも池へ戻れるのがこの広場のよいところ。休憩所があるので、荷物を置いて交代で休みながら長く過ごせます。
