Gold panning is available along the riverbank; using special tools, you scoop bowl-shaped portions of sand from the river bottom, then gently swirl it in the water to search for glimmering gold dust. Touching the cold, crystal-clear water while hunting for gold is an experience that captivates both children and adults alike. If you're lucky, you can even take home some small gold dust as a souvenir.
