About this spot

An experience-based historical theme park in Ibara City that recreates the scenery of a Muromachi-era farming village. With thatched-roof buildings and fields spread across the grounds, the atmosphere feels like stepping back several hundred years, and it has also been used as a filming location for period dramas. There are exhibits introducing life at the time, and seasonal hands-on events are sometimes held, letting families spend a relaxed time while experiencing history. Take a slow walk across the spacious grounds and enjoy the old-fashioned rural scenery.

Tips

About 15 minutes by car from the Ibara Municipal Hirakushi Denchu Museum of Art. The grounds are large with a lot of time spent walking outdoors, so be sure to stay hydrated and prepare sun protection.
