Located roughly midway along the Sadamisaki Peninsula (佐田岬半島), Mitsukue Bay (三机湾) is a calm inlet known as a naturally sheltered harbor surrounded by mountains. With little wave action, the sea here is calm enough for families with small children to enjoy water play safely. Its appeal lies in the peninsula's characteristic jagged coastline and the sea's clarity, making it a spot to unwind away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Taking a look at the bay in daylight, where fireworks will rise tonight, helps when choosing a spot to view them later.

Tips

Because of the peninsula's terrain, the roads have ups and downs. This is mainly a car-access area, so allow yourself plenty of time. Shade is limited, so don't forget sun protection.
