This museum in Sumie-cho (住江町) is about a 4-minute walk from Ome Station. Housed in a wooden building that was once a furniture store, it displays nostalgic everyday items centered on candy and medicine packaging from around the Showa 30s to 40s (1950s–60s), along with toys, posters, and drink cans. On the second floor, there are also materials suggesting that the origin of Lafcadio Hearn's ghost story 'Yuki-onna' (Snow Woman) lies in a legend passed down in Ome. It's a distinctly Ome spot for a stroll, where a relaxed pace of time flows unlike the bustling city center.

Within easy walking distance of JR Ome Line Ome Station. Business hours vary by shop, so it's reassuring to check in advance. Sunlight is strong in summer, so take frequent breaks.
