About this spot
The ruins of Aki Castle, which has history dating back to the Kamakura period, spread across the Doi area on the west bank of the Aki River. The Aki City History and Folk Museum is located on the grounds, where you can view exhibitions of Aki's history, folk materials, and calligraphy art. Together with the samurai residences of Doi Kakuchu, it's a fitting conclusion to Aki City's historical exploration.
