About this spot

This is a natural-turf multi-purpose plaza developed along the Yubetsu River in Higashi-cho, Engaru Town. It can be used as one soccer field and one rugby field, managed by the Engaru Town Sports Association as the designated administrator. It's also close to Seseragi Plaza in the Yubetsu River green space, the venue for the fireworks festival, and as evening approaches, people gradually begin to gather for the fireworks. Cool off in the river breeze and wait for the show to begin while recalling the flowers you saw along the Cosmos Road.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the shore of Lake Saroma. Roads in the area get crowded on the day, so arriving early is recommended. Don't forget insect repellent, either.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour and 15 minutes needed. Around sunset, the riverside is cool and pleasant.
