Akechi Station, the terminus of the Akechi Railway, is known for its wooden station building that strongly retains the atmosphere of Taisho-era romance. The combination of retro train cars stopped at the platform and the station building looks just like a scene from an old movie. There's also a tourist information counter inside the station building where you can learn about Akechi-cho's highlights. It's also close to Nihon Taisho Mura, making it an easy spot to stop by during your stroll.
Tips
About a 10-minute walk from Nihon Taisho Mura. Timing your visit with train arrivals and departures makes it easier to get photos with both the train cars and the station building together.
