Ishizuchi, the Saijo Citizens' Summer Fireworks Festival takes the middle levee area as its viewing zone, letting you enjoy the fireworks' light reflected on the water's surface up close. The number of shells isn't published, but the moment when the night sky fills with fireworks alongside the murmur of the river is a summer tradition unique to Saijo, the town of pure water. It makes for a quiet, beautiful finale fitting for the close of a day that began in the afternoon.

The area around the venue gets very crowded on the day, so arriving early to secure a spot is recommended. In case of severe weather, the event may be canceled or postponed, so check Saijo City's official announcement on the day. It can take time to get from the riverbed back out to the road after the show ends, so allow plenty of time.
