From this bridge over the Yahagi River, you can take in the gently flowing river and its wide riverbed from either the bridge itself or the embankments along both banks. Tonight's fireworks will be launched downstream of Yonezu Bridge, with the embankments along both banks of the Yahagi River serving as viewing areas. The road heading upstream from the south side of Yonezu Bridge is also a well-known viewing spot, so it's reassuring to walk along the river during the day to scope out a good location.
Tips
About a 15-minute drive from Michi-no-Eki Nishio Okanoyama. There's plenty of shade, but the breeze along the river can make the perceived temperature shift, so it's a good idea to bring something to layer on.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. The river breeze becomes more pleasant as evening approaches.
