An area known for its wisteria arbor on the banks of the Yahagi River, famous for large wisteria flowers blooming in spring. In summer, lush green leaves cover the arbor, and the river breeze creates pleasant shade. Since tonight's fireworks will be held throughout this Yahagi River bank area, this is a perfect spot to get a feel for the riverside atmosphere during the day.

矢作川の河畔を舞台に開催される、西尾市米津町の夏の風物詩「西尾・米津の川まつり」です。約3,000発の花火が川の上空に打ち上がり、広い川幅を活かした大きな花火が正面に迫る迫力を楽しめます。地元で長く親しまれてきたまつりで、屋台のにぎわいとともに日が沈むにつれて少しずつ雰囲気が高まっていきます。歴史あるまち歩きから一転、夜は川辺で花火を見上げる、1日の締めくくりにふさわしい時間になります。
Tips
会場周辺は当日大変混雑するため、早めに到着して場所を確保するのがおすすめです。荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間に余裕を持って行動を。

About 15 minutes by car from Michi-no-Eki Nishio Okarayama. Although there is plenty of shade, the riverside is breezy, so the felt temperature changes easily. A cardigan or light jacket is recommended.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. The river breeze becomes increasingly pleasant as evening approaches.
