An area spreading out in front of Meitetsu Nishio Station where restaurants and convenience stores gather. On the day of the fireworks festival, the food stalls around the venue become extremely crowded. Having dinner here first and stocking up on drinks and light snacks will make your evening viewing more comfortable. The station area has a relatively calm atmosphere, which is also appealing for families wanting to dine leisurely.

矢作川の河畔を舞台に開催される、西尾市米津町の夏の風物詩「西尾・米津の川まつり」です。約3,000発の花火が川の上空に打ち上がり、広い川幅を活かした大きな花火が正面に迫る迫力を楽しめます。地元で長く親しまれてきたまつりで、屋台のにぎわいとともに日が沈むにつれて少しずつ雰囲気が高まっていきます。歴史あるまち歩きから一転、夜は川辺で花火を見上げる、1日の締めくくりにふさわしい時間になります。
Tips
会場周辺は当日大変混雑するため、早めに到着して場所を確保するのがおすすめです。荒天時は中止や順延の可能性があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間に余裕を持って行動を。

About 15 minutes by car from the Yonezu wisteria arbor. Roads are congested in the evening on the day of the fireworks festival, so allow extra time for travel. Stock up on ice and cooling packs here as well.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. The atmosphere is more peaceful in the early evening.
