A scenic spot representative of Kozushima, with a wooden promenade running along the cliffs. The sea spreading out below is clear as far as the eye can see, its blue shimmering in layers under the height of summer sun. Partway along the promenade are spots popular with snorkelers and divers, so even without swimming, families can fully enjoy the beauty of the sea just by looking down at it. As a place symbolizing the clarity of Kozushima's waters, it is a must-visit spot when touring the island. Walking this promenade in the sea breeze lets you fully savor the pleasure of a summer island stroll.

Tips

Within walking distance of Awamikoto Shrine. The promenade is paved but has some ups and downs, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. If you plan to swim, having a life jacket ready is reassuring. There is little shade, so do not forget sun protection. Move on to the next stop, Takoh Bay Beach, by island bus or on foot.

About 1 hour 30 minutes needed. The higher the sun, the more the sea's blue stands out
