About this spot

A small, unstaffed station on the JR Ibusuki Makurazaki Line, known as Japan's southernmost railway station. Standing on the platform, you're met with the beautiful conical shape of Mt. Kaimon right in front of you, drawing many travelers here for commemorative photos. There is also a 'Yellow Post that Delivers Happiness,' making it a perfect spot to leave a memory of your trip. Take a moment between your afternoon stops to imprint the view of Mt. Kaimon in your mind.
