A scenic walking path surrounded by tall bamboo extending from Nonomiya Shrine to the area around Okamura Villa. The green bamboo canopy overhead and the rustling sounds of leaves swaying in the breeze create a uniquely serene space, making it one of Kyoto's most beloved healing spots. In summer, the shade provides welcome coolness, making it perfect for walking during hot hours. Known as an Instagram-worthy location, it's ideal for family photo memories.

全国の酒造家から篤い信仰を集める、京都でも屈指の古社・松尾大社で開かれる祭りです。2026年は9月5日(土)・6日(日)の2日間にわたって八朔祭が行われ、初日の9月5日19時からは境内で盆踊り大会が催されます。旧暦8月1日にあたる「八朔」の頃に行われることからその名がついたとされ、夏の終わりを告げる祭りとして地域に親しまれています。嵐山エリアの絶景巡りを終えた1日の締めくくりに、酒造の神様が見守る境内で踊りの輪に加わりましょう。
Tips
阪急松尾大社駅から徒歩約3分とアクセス良好です。夜間の境内は足元が暗い場所もあるため注意しましょう。荒天時の開催可否は事前に確認を。

About 15 minutes' walk from Togetsukyo Bridge. As a popular spot, it can be crowded; early morning or late afternoon allows more leisurely strolling.
Best time to visit
Approximately 40 minutes. Tree shade keeps it relatively cool even during daytime hours.
