In addition to displays and sales of Arita ware, there are facilities offering pottery-making experiences, making it a popular hands-on spot unique to this pottery town. Taking photos with the palace-like building as a backdrop is a classic activity here, and it is also a beloved spot for family photos. Enjoy the exotic scenery under the summer's blue sky.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Arita Uchiyama. The grounds are spacious, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Admission may require a fee. Sunlight is strong in summer, so a hat or parasol is a good idea.

About 1 hour. Afternoon light beautifully highlights the white walls of the building.
