A theme park featuring a magnificent building modeled after European palace architecture and meticulously maintained gardens. In addition to exhibitions and sales of Arita ware, the facility also offers pottery workshops, making it a popular experiential spot unique to a pottery town. The building reminiscent of a palace as a backdrop for photography is also standard, and it has become a favorite photo spot for families. Under the blue summer sky, enjoy the exotic scenery.

有田町の龍泉寺で営まれる「十八夜」は、地域で長く受け継がれてきた夏の伝統行事です。2026年は8月18日(火)19時から21時までの開催で、日中の喧騒が落ち着いた夜、山あいの寺にひっそりと灯りがともります。昼間に訪れた陶山神社やトンバイ塀の町並みが焼き物の町の「にぎわい」を伝える場所だとすれば、龍泉寺の夜は有田のもうひとつの顔である「静けさ」を感じられる時間です。都市の花火大会のような派手さはありませんが、地域の人々の祈りと伝統が息づく夜のひとときを、家族でゆっくり味わってください。
Tips
山あいのお寺のため、夜間は足元が暗くなります。懐中電灯やスマートフォンの照明を用意しておくと安心です。駐車場は台数に限りがあるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。静かな行事のため、境内では静かに過ごしましょう。
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Arita-Uchiyama. The grounds are spacious, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. There may be an admission fee to enter the park. In summer, the sun is strong, so a hat or umbrella is recommended.
Best time to visit
Takes approximately 1 hour. Afternoon light beautifully illuminates the white walls of the building.
