About this spot
The coastline of Ayukawa district, north of Negasaki, features rock formations and highly transparent seas. As one of the stages alongside Kannai and Tomari River for the Negasaki Shrine Grand Festival, it's worth leisurely viewing the local landscape before the festival. On calm wave days, searching for small creatures hiding among rocks becomes an enjoyable activity.

熊石の海沿いに鎮座する根崎神社で営まれる例大祭です。2026年は8月13日から15日までの3日間、関内地区から根崎地区、鮎川地区までの一帯を舞台に、地域をあげての祭礼が繰り広げられます。小さな漁村の神社ながら、太鼓や神輿とともに集落の人々が一体となって祝う様子には、都市部の大規模な祭りとは違う温かみがあります。日本海の潮風を感じながら過ごす、静かで印象深い夏の夜になります。
Tips
会場周辺は住宅地に近いため、車を停める際は地域の案内に従いましょう。飲食店や自動販売機が少ないエリアなので、事前に飲み物や軽食を用意しておくと安心です。夜は海からの風で肌寒くなることがあるので羽織ものがあると快適です。
Tips
Some rock areas are slippery, so wear comfortable walking shoes. With almost no shade, frequent hydration is essential. The area is a quiet settlement and local residents' living space; be respectful.

Approximately 50 minutes. Soft afternoon light beautifully illuminates the sea surface.
