A scenic natural spot representing Takatsuki, with gorge beauty and clear streams
About this spot
A beautiful gorge carved by the Akikawa River that spreads just north of Takatsuki city center. A walking trail is well-maintained, and in summer it's crowded with families enjoying river activities. The scenic beauty of odd-shaped rocks, waterfalls, and lush greenery has been selected as one of Osaka's '50 Scenic Spots,' and this place uniquely combines excellent access from urban areas with abundant nature. It's an ideal spot to cool off during sightseeing in midsummer.
Season & hours
Name:
Date & time: 8/1 (Sat)–8/2 (Sun) 14:00–21:00
Tips
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Imashio-Tsuka Kofun. The riverbank can be slippery, so sturdy walking shoes are safer than sandals. If you're going to play in water, bring a change of clothes.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour. It's more comfortable to visit in the morning before the sun gets strong.
