This covered arcade shopping street spreads out in front of JR Takatsuki Station. Home to everything from restaurants to variety shops, it's beloved as Takatsuki's central shopping street, easy for both locals and tourists to use. Since the roof means you don't need to worry about the weather, it's a great place to have a proper lunch while cooling off before your afternoon stroll through Takatsuki Castle Park and the festival.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Settsukyo Gorge toward Takatsuki Station. It gets crowded around lunchtime, so an early visit is recommended. On festival day, the area around the station tends to get crowded, so allow extra time.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes needed. Early in the 12 o'clock hour, before the lunch peak, is easiest to get a seat
