A direct-sales farm produce shop at Izumo-Mitsunari Station (出雲三成駅) on the JR Kisuki Line (木次線), run by the Okuizumo Town Tourism Association. It carries items brought in by local farmers, including Nita rice (仁多米), a specialty of Okuizumo, as well as mochi, vegetables, tofu, konjac, wild mountain vegetables, and mushrooms, and you can also pick up local dishes and seasonal produce here. Since the center of the Mitsunari district, the festival venue, is within walking distance, it's convenient to pick up dinner dishes here before heading over. By evening, a sense of festival excitement also begins to spread around the station.
Tips
About a 15-minute drive from Oni no Shitaburui (鬼の舌震). Trains are not very frequent, so check the timetable if using the Kisuki Line (木次線).
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 15 minutes needed. Items can sometimes sell out by evening, so stopping by earlier gives you a better selection.
