四国のほぼ中央に位置し「四国のへそ」とも呼ばれる三好市池田町で、8月13日から16日までの4日間開催される阿波おどりです。会場となるへそっ子公園とJR阿波池田駅周辺の通りには地元の連が集まり、鉦と太鼓のお囃子に合わせて次々と踊りが披露されます。徳島市や鳴門市の大規模な演舞場とは違い、観客との距離が近くアットホームな雰囲気が漂うのがこの町の阿波おどりの魅力。子どもたちが飛び入りで踊りの輪に加わる姿もよく見られます。

会場周辺は当日交通規制がかかることがあります。夜間は駅周辺以外の道が暗くなるので、懐中電灯があると安心です。荒天時の開催可否は最新の案内で確認しましょう。
Tips
Located in the central part of the Udatsu Townscape, easily accessible on foot. The admission fee is reasonable. The museum is compact and can be viewed in about 30-40 minutes.
