A mountain temple accessed by ropeway, known as the inner sanctuary of Kompira-san

About this spot

Hashikura Temple, also known as 'the inner sanctuary of Kompira-san,' is an ancient mountain temple that has attracted worshippers since ancient times, separate from the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Temple Pilgrimage. Taking the Hashikura Mountain Ropeway from the base, you'll arrive near the temple precinct in about 4 minutes while enjoying views of the green Shikoku Mountains below. The vermillion-painted buildings set against the mountain greenery make the precinct serene, offering a refreshing time in contrast to the bustle of town. The observation point also offers panoramic views of the mountains in the Yoshino River basin.

Season & hours

Name:

Date & time: 8/13 (Thu)–8/16 (Sun) Time TBA

Tips
