The shopping street in front of JR Ikeda Station has local restaurants and udon shops. It's perfect for an early dinner before Ikeda Awa Odori begins, and after your meal you can walk directly to the venue at Hesouko Park or the area around JR Ikeda Station. On festival day, lanterns light up the shopping street starting in the evening, gradually creating festival atmosphere.

四国のほぼ中央に位置し「四国のへそ」とも呼ばれる三好市池田町で、8月13日から16日までの4日間開催される阿波おどりです。会場となるへそっ子公園とJR阿波池田駅周辺の通りには地元の連が集まり、鉦と太鼓のお囃子に合わせて次々と踊りが披露されます。徳島市や鳴門市の大規模な演舞場とは違い、観客との距離が近くアットホームな雰囲気が漂うのがこの町の阿波おどりの魅力。子どもたちが飛び入りで踊りの輪に加わる姿もよく見られます。

会場周辺は当日交通規制がかかることがあります。夜間は駅周辺以外の道が暗くなるので、懐中電灯があると安心です。荒天時の開催可否は最新の案内で確認しましょう。
