Try the Traditional Awa Washi Hand-Papermaking Experience Passed Down from the Edo Period

About this spot

A museum that preserves the traditions of Awa washi (Japanese paper), said to have a history of over 1,300 years, with an attached workshop where you can actually experience papermaking. The process of making paper by gently shaking a wooden frame on the water's surface seems simple but is quite intricate. Your finished washi paper can be dried and taken home right away. The museum displays historic washi paper products and colorful handicrafts made from washi, offering a chance to appreciate the depth of this traditional craft.

Name:

Date & time: 8/16 (Sun) 18:00–21:30

Tips
