About this spot

A covered arcade shopping street running through central Matsuyama, lined with numerous restaurants and souvenir shops. It's perfect for a pre-festival meal, and after dining you can walk directly to the festival venue. As the festival approaches, the street gradually fills with people in traditional jackets, and festival atmosphere builds.

Tips

As festival time approaches, shops become crowded, so dining early is recommended. Traffic restrictions may be in effect on festival day, so follow staff instructions.

Best time to visit

Takes about 40 minutes. Around 4 PM before festival start is relatively calm for dining.
