About this spot

This roughly 10-hectare district park is located in Namikata-cho, Imabari City. It serves as a hub for sports, with a baseball field, tennis courts, a gymnasium, a martial arts hall, and a pool, and also features a children's plaza with large ship-themed play equipment and a folk history museum displaying items excavated from the town. It also has a multipurpose plaza and a fitness trail, and is well loved by locals as a place to walk and rest. It is a good spot to take a breather between stops on your summer festival tour.

Tips

The park has uneven terrain, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Parking is limited, so watch out for nearby road conditions when it is crowded. As evening approaches, the breeze from the sea becomes pleasant, making it a good place to cool off.
