Walking Path Along the Canal Evoking Anjo's Development with Water
About this spot
A greenway built along the Meiji Canal, which was developed during the Meiji era and transformed the Anjo region into fertile farmland. The tree-lined path along the canal remains relatively cool even in summer and is loved as a local walking trail. Walking along the waterway while reflecting on what you learned at the Historical Museum brings the region's development closer to your heart.
Season & hours
Name:
Date & time: 8/7 (Fri)–8/9 (Sun) Time TBA
Tips
Tips
While paved and easy to walk, some sections have little shade, so remember to bring water in summer. The path width accommodates strollers without issue. Insect repellent is handy during seasons with many insects.
Best time to visit
Approximately 30 minutes. Walking is easiest in the early evening as sunlight softens.
