A shopping street in front of JR Anjo Station that becomes the festival venue during the Tanabata Festival period, with colorful Tanabata decorations hanging overhead. Before the festival starts, this time is still relatively quiet and perfect for having an early dinner at restaurants. When the festival begins, crowds increase dramatically, so enjoying a hearty meal before heading into the nighttime festivities is wise.

Tips

During the festival period, crowding increases after evening, so dining early is recommended. Many shops primarily accept cash, so having small bills and coins prepared is helpful. Parking near the station fills up easily, making public transportation convenient.

Best time to visit

Approximately 40 minutes. Finishing before 5 PM allows smooth entry into the festival.
