About this spot

Kumejima's signature beach, a beautiful stretch of white sand about 2 kilometers long. The water is shallow and the waves are gentle, so families with small children can enjoy playing in the water with peace of mind. Resort hotels line the surrounding area and facilities such as showers are available, making it convenient for rinsing off lightly before the festival. In the evening, the sunset sinking into the sea is beautiful, offering a moment to feel island time.

Tips

About a 15-minute drive from Kumejima Tsumugi no Sato. During summer vacation the beach gets busy with tourists, so secure parking early. It's also reassuring to check the beach shower's operating hours in advance.
