宇土市の中心市街地一帯を会場に開かれる、地域に長く受け継がれてきた地蔵盆の伝統行事です。2026年は8月23日の開催で、商店街の家々や店先では、思い思いに趣向を凝らして飾られたお地蔵さまが並び、通りを歩くだけで夏の夕暮れらしい情緒に包まれます。日が落ちるにつれて提灯の灯りがともり、地元の人々や家族連れでにぎわう商店街は、普段とは違う特別な雰囲気に変わっていきます。荒天の場合は翌日に順延される予定で、地域に根づいた素朴で温かいまつりの空気を味わえます。

荒天時は翌日に順延される場合があるため、当日の天候情報を確認しておきましょう。商店街は歩行者でにぎわうため、ベビーカーは通りやすいルートを選ぶと安心です。
