This shrine has long been cherished as the guardian deity of the Uto area, and its grounds, enveloped in a deep green forest, are filled with quiet calm. Closely tied to local festivals, paying a visit here before the festival lets you sense the depth of faith rooted in this land. Strolling slowly along the approach, dappled with sunlight through the trees, makes for a perfect break on a hot summer afternoon.

Tips

Some parts of the grounds are unpaved, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please visit quietly and with respect for the local guardian deity.

About 40 minutes. The afternoon, with its pleasant shade, is recommended.
