開湯1300年余りの歴史を誇る山代温泉街一帯を会場に開かれる、地域の夏の風物詩です。2026年は8月7日から16日までの開催で、コースの対象日はその初日にあたります。温泉街には屋台が立ち並び、夕食代わりに食べ歩きを楽しめるほか、日が暮れると提灯の明かりが路地を照らし、湯治客と地元の人々が入り混じって夏の夜を楽しむ温かな雰囲気に包まれます。昼間に歩いた総湯や芸術家ゆかりの地、九谷焼の窯跡が、夜には祭りの灯りの中で違った表情を見せてくれます。

Tips

温泉街は道幅が狭い路地も多いため、ベビーカーでの移動はルートを確認しておくと安心です。屋台は現金払いが中心なので小銭を用意しましょう。
