One of the largest urban festivals in Gunma Prefecture, featuring group dancing, festival floats, and various parades throughout the central shopping district. In 2026, it will be held for two days, August 22nd and 23rd. The sight of dancers in traditional happi coats dancing through the streets in sync with lively music is the festival's greatest attraction. Some years feature fireworks lighting the night sky, making it a popular festival where families can experience the heat of summer in the heart of the city. As the sun sets, the streets are illuminated with lanterns and lighting, drawing crowds from young children to adults.
