A lush municipal park spreading just south of Mishima Station. Built atop Mount Fuji's lava flow, the park features the Obana Pond at its center, a mystical pond fed by Mount Fuji's underground spring water. Water levels in the pond fluctuate with the seasons and years, and the scenery at full capacity is particularly spectacular. The park includes a children's ride area with a little train and an animal square where you can meet capybaras and other creatures, making it enjoyable for the whole family—adults can enjoy garden strolls while children play freely.
Tips
Admission is around 300 yen for adults, with free entry for children and middle schoolers below. Rides such as the little train require separate ride tickets. The park has abundant shade, making it easy to walk even on hot days—a great feature for families with children. Being near the station, you can deposit extra luggage in coin lockers if needed.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1.5 hours required. The afternoon shade is cool and children can play freely and comfortably.
