About this spot

A group of springs where rain and snow that fell on Mt. Fuji emerge after many years underground, boasting some of the clearest water in Japan. Looking down from the observation deck reveals a dreamlike scene of water plants swaying in the clear blue water. Because the water temperature stays constant even in summer, simply standing by the river gives a refreshing sense of coolness, making it a perfect spot for a family break.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Rakujuen. Walking paths are well maintained, but you cannot enter the river directly, so enjoy the view from the observation deck. Insect repellent is reassuring to have, as there are many insects in summer.

Best time to visit

About 55 minutes needed. The softer afternoon sunlight makes it easier to enjoy the water's clarity
