About this spot

A Japanese restaurant located right next to Mishima Taisha, known for its unaju (grilled eel over rice) and tai chazuke (sea bream over rice with tea). Mishima Odori (三島大通り), which runs from in front of Mishima Taisha to in front of Mishima-Hirokoji Station, becomes the main festival venue where the floats parade, and restaurants and eateries along the nearby canal are scattered throughout the area. As evening approaches, happi-coat-clad float bearers begin to appear, letting you enjoy a meal amid the rising excitement of the approaching festival.

Tips

Traffic restrictions begin as 17:00 approaches, so it's best to finish your meal by the early-16:00 hour. Trying Mishima's famous eel dishes is also recommended.

About 50 minutes needed. The early 16:00 hour is easy to get a seat, before the dinner rush
