2026年の祗園祭は8月1日(土)、いちき串木野市の湊町地区一帯を会場に開催されます。古くから漁業やかつお節づくりで栄えた港町を舞台に、地域の人々が受け継いできた伝統ある夏祭りで、祭り太鼓の音や地域団体による催しが通りを彩ります。薩摩藩英国留学生が旅立った歴史ある海辺の町らしく、港の風情を感じながら過ごす夏の夜は、家族の思い出にぴったりの時間になります。
