An old shrine tied to legends of the Baekje royal family, long revered by local people. Surrounded by trees, the grounds are wrapped in stillness, letting you reflect on a story that has lived in this mountain town for over a thousand years as you pray. As the shrine behind the legends you learned about at Nishi no Shosoin and Kudara-no-Yakata, it makes for a fitting, calm close to this course.
Tips
A car is convenient for getting here from Kudara-no-Yakata. The grounds have stone steps and slopes, so wear comfortable shoes. As this shrine is important to the community, please be mindful of manners and keep quiet while visiting.
