The verdant shrine grounds offer a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place for families to pay their respects before the evening's Isaku Taiko Dance. 2026年の「伊作太鼓踊り」は8月28日(金)・29日(土)の2日間、南方神社をはじめとする日置市吹上地域一帯で行われます。このコースでは、踊りが始まる初日を主役に据えて1日を組み立てました。大きな太鼓を体に付けた踊り手たちが、勇壮な掛け声とともに輪になって踊る姿は、この地域に代々受け継がれてきた伝統芸能ならではの迫力です。地元の人々が世代を超えて守り伝えてきた踊りを間近で見られる、家族にとって貴重な体験になります。
Tips
会場は南方神社をはじめ吹上地域の複数箇所にまたがるため、当日の案内に従って移動しましょう。夜の境内や屋外は足元が暗い箇所もあるので、小さな子ども連れは手をつないで歩くと安心です。荒天時の開催可否は事前に確認しておくと安心です。
Tips
Some areas of the shrine grounds are not paved, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In summer, the tree shade is pleasant, and the grounds are ideal for a rest break during your visit. The parking lot has limited spaces, so arrive early during busy times.
Best time to visit
Approximately 50 minutes. Early afternoon is the easiest time to visit before the midday heat subsides.
