This is a pedestrian bridge spanning the shores of Fukiage Beach, one of Japan's three largest sand dunes, and is beloved locally as a sunset viewing spot. From atop the bridge, you can enjoy an expansive view of the sandy beach and the East China Sea. On a summer afternoon, the sea breeze blows pleasantly. It's the perfect place for your family to gaze at the sea's scenery and take a breath before the taiko dance begins in the evening. The surrounding area is also equipped with walking paths for light exploration.
Tips
The bridge offers little shade from the sun, so bring a hat and drinks. If you plan to visit around sunset, allow time to move to the venue before it gets dark. Walking from the parking lot to the bridge is required.
Best time to visit
Approximately 40 minutes. As evening approaches, the sunlight becomes gentler and more pleasant.
