Nakayama Hokekyoji is a historic temple founded in the Kamakura period, with impressive buildings such as a five-storied pagoda and the Soshido hall standing in its wide grounds. Trees grow thick along the approach, and the air is so quiet and calm that it is hard to believe you are near the metropolitan area. The grounds are wide and well paved, easy to walk with a stroller, which is a welcome point for families. Pay your respects at an unhurried pace in the cool morning hours before heading to the pool.

市川市市民プールは、地域の親子に長く親しまれてきた市営の屋外プールです。2026年は7月18日(土)から夏季営業を開始し、地元密着ならではの落ち着いた雰囲気の中でゆったりと水遊びができます。派手なアトラクションこそありませんが、その分混雑しすぎず、小さな子ども連れでも安心して過ごせるのが魅力です。なお令和8年度をもって閉鎖が予定されているため、訪れるなら今シーズンが貴重な機会になります。
