Musashi-Koyama Shopping Street Palm (武蔵小山商店街パルム) is known as a shopping street with one of the longest arcades in Japan. Many shops open from early in the morning, and simply strolling while peeking into bakeries and delicatessens makes for an enjoyable stretch of time. Being a roofed arcade, you can walk without worrying about the weather, another welcome point. Grabbing a light snack before water play to warm up is also recommended. It is a spot for starting the day while savouring the local atmosphere.

林試の森公園のじゃぶじゃぶ池は、7月1日から9月30日まで楽しめる無料の水遊び場です。午前10時から11時50分までの入替制で運営されており、浅い水深なので小さな子どもでも安心して遊べます。大きな木々に囲まれた立地で、水遊びのあとは木陰で涼みながら過ごせるのも魅力です。毎週木曜日は清掃点検のため休止となるほか、荒天時や気温が低い日は中止となる点にも注意しましょう。近所でのお出かけとして、午前中だけでしっかり楽しめる貴重なスポットです。
Tips
利用時間は午前10時から11時50分までの一区切りなので、開始時間に合わせて到着すると長く遊べます。着替えやタオルは多めに用意し、日焼け対策も忘れずに行いましょう。
Tips
It is right by Musashi-Koyama Station on the Tokyu Meguro Line, making it easy to reach. The arcade is easy to pass through with a stroller, but take care during the morning commuter hours when there are many people about.
Best time to visit
About 40 minutes. The morning just after the shops open is the calmest time to walk.
