Touch Japanese painting at a museum along the valley
About this spot
The Gyokudo Art Museum (玉堂美術館) displays works by Kawai Gyokudo, a Japanese-style painter who loved the scenery of Mitake Valley. It sits in a calm location along the valley, and inside you can view at leisure works depicting nature through the four seasons. The exhibition rooms are compact, a scale that can be covered comfortably even with small children. It is a perfect place for spending quiet time in the middle of a valley walk.
