About this spot

The lawn plaza and Nature Study Exhibition Hall sit inside the same Mie Kenmin no Mori as the water play area. The lawn is wide and open, and spreading a sheet in the shade turns it straight into a lunch spot. At the Nature Study Exhibition Hall you can learn about the insects, birds and plants that live in the Suzuka foothills, which is good preparation for the creatures you will meet by the water afterwards. The park also has the Adventure Forest, an athletic course and a Children's Plaza for little ones, so siblings of different ages each find a place of their own. Every facility inside the park is free to use, so you can wander wherever you feel like going, which is the best part of this forest.

Tips

Smoking and open flames are banned throughout the park and barbecues are not possible. Buy your lunch and drinks on the way and bring them in. Taking your rubbish home is the rule. Mosquitoes and horseflies are about in summer, so do not forget insect repellent. There is a large car park, so you will not struggle to find a space when driving.

Best time to visit

About 50 minutes. Midday sun is strong, so it is most comfortable to use that time for lunch in the shade
