The Children's Plaza at Kyoto Prefectural Tamba Nature Sports Park has a 45 m giant slide, an underground maze and a combination play structure. The long slide, which follows the natural slope, looks thrilling from the top and is popular enough that children queue up again and again. The underground maze is built as an exploration of dim passages, making it a cool place to play away from the sun outside. Because the equipment is gathered within a 30,000 m² lawn, parents can keep an eye on everything from the open grass. Getting your body moving here before the water means the pond feels all the better when you step in.

京都府立丹波自然運動公園こどもの広場ジャブジャブ池は、30,000㎡の芝生広場「こどもの広場」の中にある水遊び場です。まわりが一面の草地なので、水から上がってそのまま芝生に寝転がって体を乾かす、という過ごし方ができます。45mジャイアントスライダーや地下迷路、コンビネーション遊具がすぐそばにあるため、水と遊具を行き来しながら長く遊べるのがこの公園の強みです。入園は無料で、ファミリープールのみ別料金になっています。2026年の開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間に開かれます。

Tips

公式には「ジャブジャブ池についてはイベント開催時などに限り水張りを行っています」と記されているため、出かける前に水張りの予定を必ず確認してください。園内は9:00〜17:00で、12/29〜1/3は休園です。更衣室の案内は出ていないので、水着は下に着ていくかタオルポンチョを用意すると着替えがスムーズです。芝生の上を濡れた足で歩くと草が付くので、上がったらすぐ拭けるようタオルを近くに置いておきましょう。

Tips

The slide can pick up speed depending on how you ride, so agreeing on the order and the sitting position beforehand is safer. Much of the equipment stands in the sun and its surface can get hot in summer, so touch it to check before letting children play. The park is open 9:00-17:00 and closed from 12/29 to 1/3. Admission is free; only the family pool costs extra.
