Kippy Mountain Lab (Sanda City Arimafuji Nature Learning Center)

About this spot

The Sanda City Arimafuji Nature Learning Center, known as Kippy Mountain Lab, is a nature-study base inside Arimafuji Park (有馬富士公園). It has displays on the creatures that live in the rural woodland and hands-on corners where you can learn by doing, letting you get close to nature while escaping the heat outside. The most comfortable order is to spread a picnic sheet in the nearby shade, eat your packed lunch and rest first, then go into the center. Asking the staff what to look out for this season will increase what you can find on your later walk around the stream. The Rock Garden stream is only a short walk away, so you can change into swimwear here as well.

兵庫県立有馬富士公園せせらぎ(ロックガーデン)は、パークセンター近くのロックガーデンのガーデン階段に水を流してつくられる、夏だけのごく浅いせせらぎです。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月27日(木)まで、10:00から16:00まで水が流されます。石を組んだ階段を伝って落ちる水にふれる遊び方なので、泳ぐのではなく、足をひたす・水をすくう・流れを追いかけるといった過ごし方になります。深さがほとんどないため、水に慣れていない小さな子や歩き始めたばかりの子でも安心して入れるのが大きな魅力です。料金は無料で、天候不良のときは中止になり、大雨などで開始日が変わる場合もあります。

Tips

シャワーと更衣室はないので、水着は服の下に着ていき、帰りはタオルで拭いて着替えるつもりで準備してください。石の上は水にぬれると滑るため、水遊び用サンダルかウォーターシューズを履かせ、走らないことを先に約束しておきましょう。ぬれた服を入れるビニール袋を人数分用意しておくと帰りが快適です。16:00に終わるので、遅くとも15時までには水に入っておくとしっかり遊べます。

Tips

Admission is free (check the official website for opening days and hours). There are not many shops in the park, so prepare your lunch and drinks before you set out. The stream has no showers or changing rooms, so you will use the restrooms to change. Rubbish is generally taken home with you, so bring spare bags.
