The Central Plaza Zone that holds the Children's Stream is lined with wide lawns and benches, offering several spots that are just right for laying out a lunch. Spread a picnic sheet in the shade and it becomes your base for the afternoon, doubling as a place to leave your bags during the water play. After eating, change into swimwear and check with your children where the stream begins and where it flows, which makes moving around more fun once the play starts. Places to buy food inside the park are limited, so preparing lunch and drinks before you set out is the safe choice. Resting properly and saving energy is the trick to playing right through until evening.

兵庫県立播磨中央公園子どもの小川は、公園の中央広場ゾーンにある全長およそ160メートルの人工のせせらぎです。例年3月20日(金)頃から11月30日(月)頃まで、3月下旬から11月下旬にかけて水が流されます。夏だけでなく春や秋にも通水されているので、暑さの落ち着いた季節に足をひたして歩くのも気持ちのよい過ごし方です。周囲は芝生とベンチに囲まれていて、荷物を置いて見守る拠点をつくりやすいのが家族連れにはありがたいところ。2026年の確定した日程はまだ公表されておらず、ポンプの調整などで臨時に停止することがあります(2026年は7月31日から8月7日に調整の予定)。料金は無料です。

Tips

出かける前に公園の最新のお知らせで通水状況を確かめてください。底や縁の石は濡れると滑るので、水遊び用サンダルかウォーターシューズを履かせ、走らないことを先に約束しておきましょう。着替えの場所は限られるため、バスタオルを一枚多めに持っていくと困りません。ぬれた服を入れるビニール袋を人数分用意しておくと帰りが快適です。

You are expected to take your trash home, so bring extra bags. Changing areas are limited, so wearing swimwear under clothes is reassuring. In midsummer even the lawn holds heat, so choose the shade when you lay out your sheet. Cool packs or frozen drinks make afternoon hydration much more pleasant.
