Mochimugi no Yakata (もちむぎのやかた) is a restaurant and local products hall where you can taste the mochi barley that Fukusaki Town has nurtured as its specialty crop. The noodles kneaded with mochi barley have a distinctive chew unlike either soba or udon, and are loved as a dish you can eat only in this town. The products hall also carries processed mochi barley goods and sweets, so you can pick up souvenirs and afternoon snacks here. Resting properly in the air-conditioned dining room means everyone stays energetic through the afternoon water play. Sarubia Park (さるびあ公園) is just a short drive away, so you can move on right after eating.

さるびあ公園じゃぶじゃぶ池は、神崎郡福崎町のさるびあ公園(福崎浄化センター修景施設)にある無料の水遊び場です。井戸水を使ったじゃぶじゃぶ池とせせらぎの川があり、真夏でもひんやりと冷たい水にふれられるのが大きな特徴です。公式には「毎年7月上旬オープン、9月下旬頃まで」と案内されており、時間は8:30から17:00まで。2026年の確定した日程はまだ公表されていないので、出かける前に町の案内で開設状況を確かめてください。園内にはふわふわドームと大型複合遊具、芝生広場もそろっているため、水に飽きたら遊具、体が冷えたら芝生と遊び方を切り替えながら長く過ごせます。無人で管理されているため、6歳以下の子どもは必ず保護者が付き添って利用してください。

Tips

料金は無料です。井戸水は冷たいので、唇の色が変わる前に上がらせて、タオルで拭いて休ませるくらいのつもりで見守りましょう。着替えの場所は限られるため、水着は服の下に着ていくと安心です。ぬれた服を入れるビニール袋を人数分持っていくと帰りが快適です。ふわふわドームは日ざしで表面が熱くなることがあるので、触って確かめてから遊ばせてください。

The noon hour on weekends can be busy, so arriving a little early gets you a seat without waiting. Carrying drinks in a cooler bag makes afternoon hydration more pleasant.
