A general museum inside Nopporo Forest Park where you can survey the nature, history and culture of Hokkaido all together. The exhibits follow a great flow of time, beginning with mammoths of the Ice Age and continuing through Ainu culture, life in the pioneering period and modern industry. There are many genuine artifacts, along with hands-on exhibits and videos, so there are plenty of moments even a child too young to read can enjoy. The building is spacious and air conditioned, making it just the right place to spend a morning when the sun is strong. The Historical Village is within walking distance, which makes this an easy base for the day.

野幌末広町公園水遊び場は、江別市にある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年の開設期間は未発表ですが、例年は夏休みの時期に合わせて水が張られます。水深の浅い水遊び場なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも足をひたして遊べるのが大きな魅力です。住宅街の中の公園なので人の目が届きやすく、大人は木陰から見守りながらゆっくり過ごせます。博物館と開拓の村をたっぷり歩いたあとに立ち寄れば、火照った体と疲れた足に冷たい水が心地よく効きます。利用は無料なので、気が済むまで遊ばせてあげられるのも家族連れにはうれしいところです。

Tips

開設状況は年によって変わるため、出発前に江別市の案内で今年の期間を確認してください。着替えの場所は限られるので、水着を服の下に着せていくと現地での支度が楽になります。夕方は風が出て体が冷えることがあるため、羽織ものと乾いたタオルを多めに用意しておきましょう。日陰は木の下が中心なので、レジャーシートがあると休憩しやすくなります。

Tips

Check opening hours, closed days and admission fees on the official website in advance. Fees differ when a special exhibition is running. There is a great deal on display, so with small children it is less tiring to focus on selected highlights. The parking lot is large and laid out for easy movement to and from the Historical Village.
