About this spot

A facility near Ishikari Bay New Port that processes and sells salmon. There is a corner where you can watch the processing through glass, seeing up close how each large salmon is handled by hand and turned into a finished product. The shop is lined with dried salmon strips, salmon roe and all kinds of processed goods, so you come to really feel why Ishikari is called the town of salmon. There is also a place to eat, so finishing lunch early before the crowds arrive makes the rest of the day much easier. Even children who dislike fish can choose easy-to-eat dishes such as fried items or soups.

紅葉山南公園徒渉池は、石狩市にある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年は6月15日(月)から9月15日(火)まで、10:00〜16:00に利用でき、市内小学校の夏休み期間は9:00〜18:00に延長されます。水深の浅い徒渉池なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも足をひたして遊べるのが大きな魅力です。住宅街の中の公園なので人の目が届きやすく、大人は木陰から見守りながらゆっくり過ごせます。利用は無料なので、時間を気にせず気が済むまで遊ばせてあげられるのも家族連れにはうれしいところ。日の長い北海道の夏は、夕方近くまで明るいまま遊び続けられます。

Tips

毎週木曜は清掃のため運転休止となるので、出かける曜日を必ず確認してください。夏休み期間かどうかで利用時間が変わるため、石狩市の案内で当日の時間帯を確かめておくと確実です。海が近く風の強い日は体感温度が下がるので、羽織ものとすぐ着られる着替えを用意しましょう。16:00に終了する期間は、15時半ごろから片づけを始めると余裕をもって帰れます。

Tips

Check the opening hours, tour reception times and closing days on the official website in advance. Starting your meal around 11:00 makes it easier to get a table. Fresh products spoil easily in a car, so on a day with water play bring a cooler pack or plan to stop by on the way home instead. Koyozan-Minami Park is about 15 minutes away by car.
