About this spot

A spacious flower-themed park in Kita-ku, Sapporo. Plants grow year-round in the glass greenhouse, while outdoors there are sections modeled on gardens of the world along with broad lawns. The Lily Train, which trundles slowly around the grounds, is popular with children and is a welcome way to rest tired legs while making a full loop of the park. Spread a sheet on the shaded lawn and there is ample room to settle in for a packed lunch. Eat and rest here to get ready for the afternoon of water play.

Tips

Check the official information for the opening hours and fees of the greenhouse and the Lily Train. The park is large, so decide how much of it to cover before you set off and you will not wear yourselves out. On days with strong sunshine, choose a shaded spot to spread your sheet. As a rule, take your trash home with you. Restrooms are available on the grounds.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 40 minutes. Touring the grounds before noon and eating lunch in the shade is the most comfortable plan.
